Mission Statement

The mission of the counseling program of the Mt Diablo Unified School District is to support the academic success of students, regardless of their ability, race, socio-economic status, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

MDHS Counselors provide equitable access to maximize academic achievement, foster personal and emotional growth, and facilitate career development in partnership with parents, guardians and other stakeholders in our school community.

By serving all students 9-12, the counseling program provides age-appropriate services, removes barriers, and endorses the belief that all students have the opportunity to follow their own path and discover new possibilities on the journey to graduation, college and career.
